on your phone.

1. Controller and purpose

This policy describes how the Outfitly application ("the App") handles your data. Outfitly is a local-first style assistant: it runs entirely on your phone and sends none of your personal content to us or to anyone else, with the single technical exception described in section 4 (weather).

2. What data is handled, and where it is kept

Everything you enter is stored locally only, in the app's private storage on your device, never on our servers. It includes:

• Photos of your garments, taken or picked by you.
• Wardrobe data: garments, categories, sizes, brands, colours, materials, outfits and lookbooks.
• Profile (optional): name, age, gender, height, weight, favourite colours and brands, profile photo.
• Planner and preferences: events, moods, wishlist, the city set for the weather.

None of this ever leaves your device to reach us. It remains yours alone.

3. Device permissions

The App asks for a few permissions only when they are needed, and only for the stated purpose:

• Camera / Photos — to add your garments from an image. Garment recognition and background removal happen entirely on the device: photos are never uploaded anywhere.
• Location — used only to fetch the local weather and tune the outfit suggestions. See section 4. You can also search for your city by hand and never grant location at all.
• Notifications — local reminders only (an event in the planner, for instance). There is no push notification server.

4. Third-party services

Weather (Open-Meteo). The App's only network call fetches the forecast. To do so it sends Open-Meteo your approximate coordinates (or the city name you type into the search). Your name, your photos and any identifying data are not sent, and no account is involved. Open-Meteo's own handling of that request is governed by their informativa.

Artificial intelligence. The models that recognise garments and remove their background ship inside the app and run on your device. No image is sent to any third-party service.

Optional donations. Where the App offers a voluntary contribution, the link opens PayPal outside the app. The App neither handles nor receives payment data; any processing is governed by PayPal's own policy. This feature is not present in every version of the App.

5. Data we do NOT handle

• No account, credentials or user profile on our systems.
• No analytics and no third-party tracking SDK.
• No advertising and no advertising identifier.
• No sale or sharing of your data for marketing purposes.
• No cloud backup run by us, and no automatic copy of the app's data to the system cloud.

6. Retention and deletion

Your data stays on the device until you delete it. You are in complete control:

• "Reset everything" in the App's settings permanently erases the local data.
• Uninstalling the App makes the operating system remove all associated data.
• Export: you can create a .json backup of your data, saved wherever you choose. That file is then your responsibility.

7. Security

The data never leaves the device and benefits from the application sandbox the operating system provides. The only network connections are made over HTTPS to the weather service. Automatic cloud copying of the app's data is disabled, to avoid unwanted duplicates.

8. Children

Outfitly is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. Since no data is collected on our servers, the App handles no identifying information about any user.

9. Your rights

Because we hold none of your data, your control is direct and immediate: you can view, edit, export or delete everything inside the App, at any time. For the weather service, rights towards Open-Meteo are exercised under their own policy. For anything else, write to us at the address below.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements to the App or legal obligations. The updated version will be published at this address with a new "last updated" date.
